Preschool Activities

Mass International School's First Little Readers program introduces young learners to foundational reading skills through engaging stories and activities. Our A-C level program focuses on phonics, sight words, and early comprehension, building confidence in emerging readers with age-appropriate materials.

At Mass International School, children typically start preschool at 2.5 to 3 years old. Our preschool program is designed for children aged 2.5-5 years, with age-appropriate curriculum and activities that support early childhood development. We offer flexible schedules including half-day and full-day options to accommodate different family needs.

Your child may be ready for preschool if they can: follow simple instructions, communicate basic needs, show curiosity about learning, play alongside other children, and handle separation from parents for short periods. At Mass International, we conduct readiness assessments and offer orientation sessions to help children transition smoothly into preschool life.

Separation anxiety is normal for young children starting preschool. At Mass International School, we have a gradual transition program where parents can stay initially and gradually reduce their presence. Our experienced teachers use engaging activities, comforting routines, and a warm environment to help children feel secure. Most children adjust within 1-2 weeks with our supportive approach.

Social skills develop gradually in preschool. At Mass International, we don't expect perfect sharing immediately. Our program includes structured group activities, cooperative games, and guided play sessions that teach sharing, taking turns, and communication. Children learn social skills through positive reinforcement, role modeling by teachers, and age-appropriate social activities that make learning to play with others fun and natural.
